Bronstig is a Wee Heavy from Aalsmeer, a full-bodied Scotch Ale at 7.5% alcohol. This Scottish style is nowadays brewed mainly in Belgium, but Brouwerij 't Blauwe Hert brings its character to the Netherlands. The beer displays deep caramel and toffee notes with hints of nuts and raisins, balanced by subtle spice and a touch of smoke. The finish is gentle and well-rounded, with a soft bitterness that does not overpower. This is a winter warmer suited to cooler months. Available at specialty shops in the Dutch green heart region.
