Houten Kop is an amber specialty beer brewed since 1988 by Brouwerij Strubbe in Ichtegem, West Flanders. This herbal ale combines twelve pure and natural herbs with a crystal-clear amber colour and a full, lasting head. The flavour presents a refined balance of caramel, apple, candy sugar and herbal notes with subtle, perfume-like hop character. The finish is dry with good carbonation, leaving substantial flavour on the palate. At 6.5% ABV, it delivers noticeable but not intrusive warmth.
