Brouwerij Kees in Middelburg crafted this Export Porter with conviction: twelve months of maturation in cognac barrels delivered depth and refinement. At 9.8% ABV, this is a full-bodied, complex porter with the warmth of cognac and the dark, roasted character of well-kilned malt.

On the nose, dark fruit, oak and subtle brandy notes emerge. The palate brings caramel, chocolate and tobacco together with a soft, wine-like undertone. The cognac barrels lend an elegant finish with a dry, gently astringent aftertaste.
