Jopen Adriaan is a witbier from Haarlem brewed according to a historical recipe dating from 1501. The beer combines barley malt, wheat and oats with coriander seed and Curaçao peel, creating a fresh and playful character. At 5% ABV, it opens with a soft, fruity taste and finishes with a pleasant spicy note. Jopen itself emerged from a civic initiative to revive Haarlem's brewing heritage. Adriaan gained recognition as 'World's Best Belgian Style Witbier' at the World Beer Awards 2016. It is a thirst-quenching beer that reflects both traditional craft and modern creativity, rooted in over five centuries of Dutch brewing tradition.
