Cuvée St. Antoine is a Belgian abbey ale brewed by Brasserie Artisanale du Flo in Blehen-Hannut since 2005. The beer is made for the Confrérie de St. Antoine, a brotherhood that has commissioned its own beer since 1978. This is a dark, robust ale with a complex aroma of roasted malt, caramel and tobacco notes. The palate is moderately sweet with restrained bitterness and a lingering finish. Caramel flavours run through the beer from start to finish. At 8% ABV, this is a full-bodied, warming brew suited to winter meals and quiet reflection.
