La Guillotine is a golden tripel from Brouwerij Huyghe in Melle, first brewed in 1989 to celebrate the bicentennial of the French Revolution. This multigrain beer at 8.5% ABV undergoes bottle conditioning and delivers a layered, complex character. The nose reveals citrus aromatics and classic Belgian hop notes from Saaz and Brewers Gold. On the palate, a full malty body emerges with fruity yeast esters and subtle spice.
