Bière du Mont Saint-Aubert from Brasserie de Brunehaut is a Belgian strong blonde ale at 8% ABV. The brewery, based in Rongy-Brunehaut in Hainaut, has been brewing since 1890 using traditional recipes rooted in the nearby Abbaye de Saint-Martin near Tournai. Mont Saint-Aubert is a classic Bière de Garde: golden blonde in colour with a white head. The aroma is spicy and fruity with yeast character. On the palate, fruity esters, spicy notes and noble hops combine into a dry, refreshing finish. Despite its higher alcohol content, this ale drinks light and elegant. The brewery is known for 100% organic production. This tripel won silver medals at the 2008 World Beer Cup and Australian International Beer Awards in the Belgian-Style Pale Strong Ale category.
