Dark Sister by Brussels Beer Project is a dark, almost black India Pale Ale that defies expectations. This Black IPA merges the bitterness and fruity character of an IPA with the depth of roasted malt and chocolate. The nose opens with grapefruit, pine and resin, followed by gentle roasted coffee notes. On the palate, crisp hop bitterness takes the lead, balanced by cocoa powder, toasted malt and a touch of smoke. Plum and white pepper add further layers. At 6.7% ABV, this ale is clean and layered—ideal for cold nights and unhurried drinking.
