Herr Oakmeister von Dunkelweizen from Uiltje Brewing Company is a dark wheat beer with personality. This brew combines classic Saaz hops—the same variety founder Robbert named his dog after—with the rich traditions of Weizen and an unexpected twist: oak chips during fermentation.

In the glass, it presents a hazy dark gold with a thick, stable foam head. The nose reveals smoke, banana and wheat. The palate follows with wheat, malty character, banana and spice, interwoven with a smoky edge. The oak imparts subtle vanilla and an earthy hop tingle to the finish.
