St. Georgen Bräu has brewed this Kellerbier since 1624 in Buttenheim, Upper Franconia. This naturally cloudy, unfiltered lager is fermented with bottom-fermenting yeast and defined by restrained grain and grassy character. It pours copper-coloured with sparse head. The palate delivers toasted bread, bread crust and subtle caramel and nut notes, balanced by clean fermentation and herbal hop bitterness. A classic cellar beer, traditionally enjoyed from a stein.
