Zenne Pils is an unfiltered, unpasteurised pilsner from Brasserie de la Senne, the Brussels brewery known since 2003 for hoppy and experimental beers. This is their take on a classic German-style pils, brewed with noble German hops and Belgian malt. The beer appears lightly hazy with a refined bitterness. The nose reveals grainy pilsner malt, grassy hop and citrus notes. On the palate, bready malt, light grain and herbal hop character combine with subtle Belgian yeast fruit. The finish is dry and peppery, with a lingering bitter edge. Zenne Pils proves that a traditional pilsner belongs in Brussels too—a very drinkable craft pils with character and polish.
