Maredret Altus is an amber-hued beer brewed by the Sisters of Maredret Abbey in collaboration with John Martin's. This 6.8% blonde ale is crafted with spelt and herbs, drawing inspiration from Saint Hildegard of Bingen. The beer develops a warm spiced bouquet featuring notes of clove, hay and juniper berries, complemented by fresh, grassy hop aromas. The palate delivers bitterness, freshness and malty character with hints of caramel and honeycomb. A pleasant interplay of bitter and sweet notes creates a refreshing, nuanced finish. Altus earned the Country Winner award at the World Beer Awards 2024.
