Floreffe Melior by Brasserie Lefebvre is an abbey beer rooted in the tradition of Floreffe Abbey, founded in 1221. This dark brown strong ale of 8% ABV undergoes bottle conditioning and is seasoned with natural flavourings: aniseed, bitter orange peel and coriander. The palate unfolds in layers: sweet caramel and dark stone fruits like plum and raisin, followed by the characteristic anise note and subtle spice. The finish is dry with light bitterness. Full-bodied with a creamy texture. A layered abbey beer that rewards contemplation.
