Maneblusser is Mechelen's city beer, crafted by Brouwerij Het Anker specifically for the people of the city. Brewed using traditional top-fermentation, this blonde ale strikes a balance between approachability and flavour depth. The beer appears pale golden and nearly clear, crowned by a substantial white head. Belgian ale yeast provides the aromatic character, supported by subtle citrus notes and fruity esters. On the palate, mild citrus fruits emerge with a refined, dry finish and restrained bitterness. Maneblusser is easy-drinking without being shallow – a beer that belongs to Mechelen's brewing heritage, made by a brewery whose story stretches back to the 15th century.
