Brouwerij Gudzekop is a Dutch craft brewery founded in 2018 by Diermar Laske and his wife Trea. The brewery is based in Goingarijp, a small village in the province of Friesland, situated near the waterway also known as Gudzekop — the name that inspired both the brewery and its beers. From the outset, Diermar and Trea have been committed to brewing with a strong sense of place, drawing on Frisian identity and a love for local ingredients and traditions. The brewery offers tastings in a traditional Frisian setting, welcoming visitors to experience their craft firsthand. Gudzekop's portfolio centres on authentic craft beers brewed with quality and flavour as the guiding principles. Their range includes a variety of styles, among them a Blonde, a Weizen, and a Milk Stout clocking in at 6% ABV — demonstrating a willingness to explore both approachable and more characterful beer styles. The brewery's commitment to craftsmanship and locality gives each beer a distinct Frisian character that sets them apart from larger producers. Gudzekop has appeared at the Bier & Whisky Festival in Assen as a debutant, introducing their beers to a broader audience beyond Friesland. Their Milk Stout is stocked by specialist beer shops such as Burg Bieren, and the brewery was listed among participants at the European Beer Challenge 2024, further underlining their growing reputation within the Dutch craft beer scene.
