VBDCK

VBDCK, short for Verbeeck–Back–De Cock, is a Belgian brewery located in Tielrode, in the East Flanders region. Its roots stretch back to the end of the 19th century, with records placing its origins as far back as 1866. After years of dormancy, the brewery was revived when Charlotte and her partners took over the derelict site roughly a decade ago, breathing new life into a historic brewing heritage and relaunching it under the VBDCK name. The brewery is best known for its KEREL range of beers, a diverse portfolio that spans a wide spectrum of styles. From a crisp pilsner and a modern IPA to a pitch-black dry stout and strong specialty beers, VBDCK embraces both tradition and contemporary brewing. The lineup reflects a distinctly Belgian character, with attention to fermentation craft and bold flavour profiles. Notably, the brewery currently focuses exclusively on full-strength beers, with no alcohol-free options in the range. Among the standout releases is Kerel Kaishaku, a powerful 'suicide blond' specialty beer clocking in at 15% ABV, as well as a Bière de Garde brewed in the old amber style. The KEREL beers have gained international reach, appearing in markets including the United States and Ireland, and earning recognition among Belgian craft beer enthusiasts worldwide.
