Brouwerij Kees

Brouwerij Kees is a Dutch craft brewery founded in 2015 in Middelburg, in the province of Zeeland. The brewery came to life after a successful crowdfunding campaign by its founder, who turned a personal passion for bold and flavourful beer into a fully operational nanobrewery. From the very beginning, Brouwerij Kees set out to challenge the notion of ordinary beer, guided by the philosophy that life is simply too short for boring, standard brews. The brewery has built a reputation for a diverse and adventurous portfolio that spans hoppy and fruity IPAs, rich and complex dark beers, and barrel-aged imperial stouts. Brouwerij Kees is particularly known for its strong, flavour-forward beers that showcase bold hop character and deep malt complexity. Among its notable releases is the Caramel Fudge Stout, a bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout with an ABV of 11.5%, as well as collaborative brews such as Kees Sera Sera, an imperial stout crafted together with Belgian brewery Alvinne and Russian brewery Velka Morava. Brouwerij Kees has gained recognition on the international stage, with beers such as Snake Eyes, a Triple IPA, earning attention at events like the Brussels Beer Challenge. The brewery continues to push boundaries within the Dutch craft beer scene, earning a loyal following among enthusiasts who appreciate its uncompromising approach to taste and quality.
