S.C. Bermas Suceava is a brewery located in Șcheia, in the Suceava region of Romania. One of its most remarkable characteristics is its survival through and beyond the communist era: while approximately 120 other beer factories across Romania were forced to shut down, Bermas managed to remain operational thanks to an employee buyout that took place after the fall of communism. This grassroots ownership model allowed the brewery to continue its tradition of brewing in a region with deep-rooted beer culture in northeastern Romania. Bermas operates as a macro brewery with a portfolio focused on accessible, traditional lager styles. Their beers are firmly rooted in the European Pale Lager category, brewed for everyday enjoyment. The brewery is best known for producing straightforward, crisp lagers that reflect the no-nonsense brewing traditions of the region. Among the beers in their lineup are Bermas Tip Pils (5% ABV), Călimani (4.6% ABV), Solca (4.8% ABV), and Suceava Clasic — all European Pale Lagers. The flagship beer, Suceava, has become the brewery's most recognized product and a symbol of local brewing heritage in Suceava County.
