Solca is a European pale lager from S.C. Bermas Suceava, a brewery in Șcheia, Romania, with a remarkable survival story. After the 1989 Romanian Revolution, Bermas was saved through an employee buyout—a rare victory when 120 other Romanian breweries closed. This lager is brewed using traditional methods with a fermentation period of 35–45 days. It pours a clear golden colour with a lasting white head. The aroma shows sweet malt with notes of hop and straw. On the palate, it is clean and balanced: malty sweetness with hop bitterness, supported by a light body and medium carbonation.
