Privatbrauerei Ayinger is a traditional Bavarian family brewery located in the small village of Aying, roughly 20 minutes south of Munich, Germany. With a history spanning approximately 150 years, the brewery has remained deeply rooted in its origins and community. A significant milestone in its modern story came in 1999, when a new, updated brewery was built to meet contemporary demands while preserving the centuries-old brewing traditions that define the Ayinger character. Ayinger's portfolio reflects the full breadth of Bavarian brewing craftsmanship. The brewery produces a wide range of classic German styles, including Märzen, Weizenbock, Hefeweizen, and Export Lager. Among its well-known beers is the Bräuweisse, a classic Hefeweizen celebrated for its traditional character, as well as the Jahrhundert Bier, a smooth and subtly flavoured Export Lager with notes of honey and yeast. The Frühlingsbier rounds out a portfolio that demonstrates Ayinger's commitment to authentic lager and wheat beer traditions. Ayinger has earned recognition both in Germany and internationally, frequently appearing in craft beer circles and specialty beer venues around the world. Its beers are regularly recommended for food pairings, including cheese, underlining the brewery's reputation for balanced, well-crafted brews that stand up to culinary exploration.
