Omer vander Ghinste Bockor

Omer Vander Ghinste, also known as Bockor, is a Belgian brewery located in Bellegem, in the West Flanders region. The brewery carries a rich family history, with roots tied to the Vander Ghinste family and later expanded through the marriage of Omer to Marguerite, which united Brouwerij Omer Vander Ghinste (Bockor) with Brasserie Le Fort — a milestone that shaped the brewery's identity and portfolio for generations to come. The brewery is known for its diverse range of Belgian beer styles. Among its recognised offerings is the VanderGhinste Roodbruin, a West Flanders-style red-brown ale, a traditional style closely associated with the region. The brewery also produces the LeFort range, including a LeFort Tripel at 8.8% ABV and a LeFort Donker, showcasing its ability to craft both classic and more robust styles. Their beers are characterised by malt-forward profiles with notes of caramel and subtle spice. Bockor's Omer brand has earned a place among Belgian beer enthusiasts, with the flagship blond ale noted for its golden colour, white foamy head, caramel aroma, and a slightly spicy character. The brewery represents the brewing traditions of West Flanders and continues to be a respected name in the Belgian craft and regional beer scene.
