Cerveceria Nacional Ecuador
Ecuador · Founded in 1913
Cervecería Nacional is Ecuador's leading brewery, headquartered in Guayaquil and part of the AB InBev global brewing group. The brewery has deep roots in Ecuadorian beer culture, with its flagship Pilsener brand launched in 1913, making it one of the oldest and most established beer brands in the country. Over more than a century, Cervecería Nacional has grown to become the dominant force in Ecuador's beer market, combining local heritage with the resources and expertise of one of the world's largest brewing companies. The brewery's portfolio is anchored by its classic Pilsener lager, a 4.0% ABV bottom-fermented beer widely known as Ecuador's go-to football-watching beer. Beyond its core lager offering, Cervecería Nacional has expanded its range to include refreshments and a 'Beyond Beer' category, reflecting broader trends in the drinks industry. The brewery has also developed Nuestra Siembra, a sustainable beer brand created in partnership with smallholder farmers to positively impact local agricultural communities. Cervecería Nacional's Quito production facility has earned international recognition, scoring 927 points in a global brewing quality assessment and achieving 'World Class' status — ranking second globally, behind only a brewery in Pujiang, China. The brewery has also invested in sustainability initiatives, including a waste-to-biogas plant at its Ecuadorian facilities.
