Brouwerij Pirlot is a Belgian brewery located in Zandhoven, a small municipality in the province of Antwerp, situated roughly 25 kilometres southwest of Turnhout in the Kempen region. The brewery is owned and run by Guy Pirlot, who began practising his craft in the mid-1980s, building a strong local reputation over the decades. Based at Heistraat 3 in Zandhoven, Pirlot has become a well-known name in the Flemish beer landscape, valued for its deep roots in regional brewing tradition. Brouwerij Pirlot is perhaps best known for its Kempisch Vuur range of beers, a line that reflects the character of the Kempen region. The brewery's portfolio includes diverse styles, among them a hop-forward beer called Hoppergod and a prizewinning Haverstout — an oat stout praised for its style-true execution. The brewery also serves as a contract brewing partner for other regional producers, demonstrating both its technical capacity and its collaborative role within the local brewing community. Over the years, Brouwerij Pirlot has earned recognition beyond its local base, with beers like Haverstout receiving critical acclaim in Belgian beer circles. The brewery is featured in Belgian beer tourism publications and is listed among notable Flemish breweries, cementing its status as a respected producer of quality ales in the Antwerp region.
