Kempisch Vuur Devil's Heaven is a Russian Imperial Stout aged in oak barrels by Brouwerij Pirlot. This pitch-black beer (200 EBC) at 10% ABV blends traditional brewing craft with modern barrel-aging techniques. The glass reveals a beige head atop dark brown liquid. The nose opens with dark roasted malt, mocha and chocolate notes. The palate is full-bodied and bitter, featuring roasted malt, chocolate and wood character from oak maturation. A contemplative beer for slower sipping, where the alcohol warmth gradually emerges.
