Brooklyn Brewery

Brooklyn Brewery was founded in 1988 by Steve Hindy and his downstairs neighbor Tom Potter in the Brooklyn borough of New York City. The brewery was born out of a shared vision to revive the rich brewing heritage that once made Brooklyn a true powerhouse of American beer production. Hindy and Potter wanted to bring craft brewing back to a neighborhood that had long been associated with great beer, and in doing so helped spark the modern craft beer movement in New York. The brewery's iconic logo was designed by the legendary graphic designer Milton Glaser, giving Brooklyn Brewery one of the most recognizable identities in the craft beer world. Brooklyn Brewery has built a diverse portfolio of beers that spans a wide range of styles, from hop-forward ales and lagers to darker, more complex brews. The brewery is perhaps best known for the Brooklyn Lager, its flagship beer and a true American classic that helped define the craft lager category. Beyond its core range, Brooklyn Brewery continues to explore seasonal and experimental styles, offering beer lovers both approachable everyday options and more adventurous selections. Over the decades, Brooklyn Brewery has grown into an international brand, distributing to 26 states and 25 countries, while remaining an independent brewery at heart. Its taproom in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn welcomes visitors for tours and tastings, making it a landmark destination for craft beer enthusiasts visiting New York City.
