Brasserie Dubuisson

Brasserie Dubuisson is the oldest and most authentic brewery in Wallonia, the French-speaking region of Belgium. Founded in 1769 by Joseph Leroy — an ancestor on the maternal side of the current owner, Hugues Dubuisson — the brewery has remained in family hands for over 250 years. Located in Pipaix, in the province of Hainaut, it stands as a living monument to Belgian brewing tradition, with a history that has weathered centuries of change while staying true to its roots. Over the course of its long history, Brasserie Dubuisson has built a portfolio of 100% natural beers, spanning a range of styles that reflect the brewery's passion and craftsmanship. The brewery is perhaps best known for its strong ales, a signature category that has defined its reputation both at home and abroad. Alongside its flagship offerings, the portfolio includes beers such as Cuvée des Trolls and Surfine, showcasing the breadth of styles produced under the Dubuisson name. The brewery's crown jewel is Bush Scaldis, a strong amber ale that was once celebrated as Belgium's strongest beer and has earned world-renowned recognition. Visitors to Pipaix can explore the brewery's rich heritage through the Dubuisson Beerstorium, an on-site museum dedicated to the brewery's story. Dubuisson also established brewpubs, including Le Brasse-Temps in Louvain-la-Neuve, extending the brewery experience beyond its historic home.
