Blue Point Brewing Company
United States · Founded in 1998
Blue Point Brewing Company was founded in 1998 by Mark Burford and Pete Cotter, making it Long Island's original and oldest craft brewery. The company started with humble beginnings in a boatyard on Long Island, New York, and has since grown into one of the region's most recognized and award-winning brewing operations. Over the decades, Blue Point has built a strong identity rooted in the laid-back coastal culture of Long Island. With a portfolio of close to 30 beers, Blue Point offers a broad range of craft beer styles that cater to a wide audience. The brewery has long been celebrated for its approachable yet well-crafted lineup, which has helped establish it as a staple across New York and beyond. Its beers reflect both traditional craft brewing values and the relaxed spirit of its Long Island roots. Blue Point has changed ownership over the years, first being acquired by Anheuser-Busch and later becoming part of the Tilray Brands portfolio in October, alongside other well-known craft labels such as Redhook Brewery, Breckenridge Brewery, and 10 Barrel Brewing Company. Despite these transitions, Blue Point remains a defining name in Long Island craft brewing history.
