About
Unibroue brewed this Belgian Strong Ale to celebrate the Canadian brewery's 25th anniversary. At 10.5% alcohol and crafted with a unique Belgian yeast strain, this bottle-refermented ale balances spice, malt and hop with surprising finesse. The name 'Blonde de l'Enfer'—Blonde from Hell—draws on Flemish tradition, where strong ales are named after hellish demons, a nod to the beer's deceptive drinkability. The nose reveals malty and citrusy character with delicate spice notes. On the palate, sweet malt meets honey and candi sugar notes, with subtle iron-like undertones typical of Unibroue's house character. Fine, champagne-like carbonation carries the flavours to a balanced finish, masking its considerable strength with elegant restraint.
