About
Vermeersen XX Dubbel carries monastic brewing heritage dating back before 1821, when it was brewed as 'Hulsterweg Monnikenbier' in a cloister. The brewery itself was founded in 1821 on the vaults of a former Recollect monastery in Hulst, Zeeland. This beer derives its full flavour from caramel malts, candi sugar and liquid caramel, creating a rich, sweet character with fruity undertones. At 6.5% ABV, this is an approachable dubbel that offers both warmth and depth. The beer pairs well with fatty fish and other rich dishes.
