About
Schneider Weisse Aventinus Tap 6 is Bavaria's oldest wheat doppelbock, brewed since 1907 by G. Schneider & Sohn. This 2014 vintage is a dark ruby, bottle-conditioned weizenbock at 8.2% that continues to evolve with age. When fresh, it displays lively yeast-driven character with banana, raisins and dried plums. As it matures, port and sherry fruit emerge alongside bready malt and caramel notes. The full body is warming and well-balanced, with spicy fermentation character that ties the profile together. An authentic, unfiltered and unpasteurized weizenbock that pairs well with roasted meats, game and strong cheeses.
