Rogue Shakespeare Oatmeal Stout

About

Shakespeare Oatmeal Stout from Rogue Ales is one of the brewery's foundational beers, named after the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland where Rogue began in 1988. This dark, full-bodied stout combines roasted malts with rolled oats to deliver a smooth, creamy texture. Northwest Harrington, Crystal and Chocolate malts, roasted barley and oats form the backbone, while Cascade hops provide bitterness and balance. Sweet and bitter elements work in harmony, creating a beer that is surprisingly approachable despite its depth. Cascade hop aromatics lead the nose, complemented by warm roasted character from the malt bill. The palate reveals caramel and coffee notes with hints of nuts and vanilla. Soft carbonation and a clean finish make this stout easy to drink, earning it recognition as one of Rogue's most awarded and highly rated beers.
