Voragem is the flagship beer from Mean Sardine Brewery, a craft producer in the Portuguese coastal town of Ericeira. This Black IPA marries dark malts with assertive hop bitterness, brewed with Centennial, Chinook and Cascade varieties. The name draws from Portuguese maritime terminology, meaning a deep abyss or violent sea swirl. That intensity shows in the glass: toasted malt, chocolate and subtle caramel sweetness are met with bold American hop character and citrus bite, creating a beer that's as uncompromising as its namesake.
