Maredret Triplus is an abbey beer from the Sisters of Maredret Abbey in Belgium, brewed in partnership with John Martin Brewery. This 8% tripel stands out for its use of spelt and herbs including coriander and sage, drawing inspiration from Saint Hildegard of Bingen. On the nose, a pleasant spring fragrance emerges with citrus notes. The palate is distinctly spicy with assertive hop bitterness, complemented by the floral and nutty character of spelt. The finish is dry and lingering, with warming alcohol notes that round out the beer's strong character.
