About
Liefmans Kriek Brut is a dark-red fruit beer from Oudenaarde, Belgium, brewed in a tradition stretching back to 1679. This craft blend matures for eighteen months and contains up to 13 kilograms of cherries per hectoliter, yielding a luxurious beer with pronounced cherry character. The aroma displays intense fruitiness with prominent cherry notes, complemented by subtle almond and marzipan undertones. On the palate, the beer strikes a refined balance between sweet and tart, with woody complexity that develops during its extended maturation. It remains refreshingly drinkable despite the full flavour intensity. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with dry qualities and an appealing sharp edge. This is a beer that fully expresses the Flemish tradition of blended fermentation and patient cellaring.
