About
Leidsch Moons is a spiced blonde oat ale from Leidsch Bier in Leiden, brewed to a 15th-century recipe. This traditional beer is made with oats, barley and wheat, giving it a distinctive grainy character. At 5% ABV and 36 IBU, it strikes a balance between light sweetness and moderate bitterness. The beer appears golden yellow and cloudy with a stable white head. The nose shows oat and grain notes, complemented by spice and subtle citrus hints. On the palate, light malt and savoury qualities develop, while the finish remains dry and clean. Leidsch Moons pairs well with fatty and white fish, as well as with cured sausages.
