Skye Black is a Scottish ale from Isle of Skye Brewing, crafted on the island of Skye in the Hebrides. The beer's dark mahogany colour comes from roasted barley, balanced with sweet, rolled oatmeal that is milled on-site at the brewery. At 4.5% ABV, it is an approachable and well-rounded ale with subtle complexity. In the glass, Skye Black displays excellent clarity with sparkling highlights. The nose offers malty aromas with hints of dark fruit and coffee. The palate is creamy and smooth thanks to the oat addition, with a fine balance between sweetness and bitterness, complemented by dark fruit and coffee notes. The finish is clean and dry.
