Duvel Tripel Hop is Brouwerij Duvel Moortgat's annual hop experiment, brewed in Puurs, Belgium. This Belgian Strong Pale Ale follows the brewery's traditional recipe but adds a different hop variety each year. The 2014 edition features Mosaic, an American hop that brings tropical brightness and complexity to the classic base. The nose reveals layers of citrus, grapefruit, floral and herbal hop character. On the palate, tropical fruit and honey emerge alongside a crisp, peppery bitterness. Despite its 9.5% ABV, the beer drinks with surprising refinement and balance, supported by lively carbonation and a sharp, clean finish.
