About
To mark its 150th anniversary in 2021, Duvel Moortgat introduced Duvel 6,66%, a refined take on its iconic flagship. This is a milder, fuller-bodied Belgian blonde at 6.66% ABV – a playful nod to the beer's devilish heritage. The brewery employs six different hop varieties, including the classic noble types Saaz and Hallertau. Orange zest adds a citrus character alongside the signature Poire William note of the original Duvel. The result is an aromatic, approachable beer with restrained bitterness and good drinkability. The palate balances hop fruitiness with a solid malt base, creating a fuller mouthfeel than the classic version. Subtle stone fruit and bread notes emerge alongside gentle herbal hop character, finishing with a clean, dry aftertaste.
