About
Gouden Carolus Tripel from Mechelen carries royal heritage. Originally brewed for the Knights of the Golden Fleece in 1491, it continues to be crafted by Brouwerij Het Anker, one of Belgium's oldest breweries with roots stretching back to 1471. This golden tripel rises with an impressive, fluffy white head. The aroma displays ripe yellow fruit, floral notes and spice with hints of citrus. On the palate, Belgian malts and fruity esters take centre stage, with delicate apricot notes and a light peppery character that keeps the malt sweetness in check. The finish is warming and characterful, true to style. At 9% ABV, this is a complex blonde ale steeped in six centuries of brewing tradition.
