Deca Papegaei is an 8% ABV blonde ale brewed by Brouwerij Verstraete in collaboration with Brouwerij Deca in Vleteren. The beer is made from barley, wheat and oats, and undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle. The result is a hazy, soft blonde ale with a rich hop bouquet. On the nose, ripe pears, fresh apples and subtle citrus emerge, supported by classic Belgian yeast esters. The palate is sweet and fruity, with notes of honey and apricot that complement the gentle fruit character throughout. Despite its strength, the beer drinks smoothly and approachably.
