About
Valeir Blond from Brouwerij Contreras is a golden Belgian blonde ale from Gavere, crowned with a thick, persistent head. The beer takes its name from Valère, the soldier who fought at the Battle of Gavere in 1453 – his statue stands in front of Gavere's town hall. The aroma is spiced and fruity, with notes of banana and citrus. On the palate, spice and gentle hop bitterness lead to a dry, balanced finish. The creamy mouthfeel gives the beer a smooth, refined character that belies its strength. At 6.5% ABV, this is an approachable yet flavourful beer, equally at home as an everyday pour or a beer for special occasions.
