Avereest PK 21 is an ambitious quadrupel from Brouwerij Avereest, returning to the Reestdal region after more than a century of absence. The beer honours the area's heritage through its name, which pays tribute to the draught horses that once worked the land. This ruby-coloured beer appears hazy beneath a creamy head. The nose reveals malt, raisins and red fruit. The palate is malty with distinct raisin notes, supported by full body and subtle spice. The finish is soft and warming, befitting its 10% ABV.
