Klungel is an authentic kuyt beer by Brouwerij Avereest from Dedemsvaart, brewed in the style of historical Dutch ales. This traditional beer contains 50% oats and is fermented with Kveik, a heritage Scandinavian brewing yeast. The result is fresh and light-bodied with fruity notes of orange and apricot, complemented by subtle herbal character and a hint of brioche. The flavour balances sweetness with mild bitterness, finishing clean. Kuit beers were among the first hopped brews, and historically used oats as an affordable and abundant grain. Klungel revives this brewing tradition with respect for authentic flavours and ingredients.
