About
Saxo from Brasserie Caracole is a Belgian blonde ale rooted in over two centuries of brewing tradition. Located in Falmignoul, the brewery still uses copper vessels heated over wood fire, maintaining methods unchanged since the 18th century. Saxo delivers a complex fruity profile with banana and grassy notes, alongside citrus and a hint of coriander spice. The beer balances these elements with fine bitterness and a clean, lingering finish. Brewed with Pils and Munich malts, Amarillo hops, and Westmalle yeast, Saxo presents a full, warming mouthfeel befitting its 7.7% alcohol content. The aftertaste is long and flavourful, with spice and fruit notes that linger on the palate.
