Starobrno Brewery, located in Brno in the heart of Moravia, Czech Republic, is one of the country's most historically rooted brewing institutions. The current facility on Hlinky Street, near Mendel Square, was established in 1872 by the Mandel and Hayek company, transforming the original manor brewery into a modern industrial operation. In 2003, Starobrno was acquired by Heineken through the purchase of Austrian Bräu-Union AG, bringing it under the international Heineken portfolio alongside the Royal Brewery of Krušovice and the Velké Březno brewery.
