Desnoes & Geddes (D&G) is a historic Jamaican brewery founded in Kingston, Jamaica. The company came to life when two young entrepreneurs crossed paths in the offices of a West Indian trading firm, eventually joining forces to build what would become one of the Caribbean's most recognised brewing operations. Over the decades, D&G grew into a cornerstone of Jamaican beverage culture, later coming under the ownership of Heineken N.V. after the Dutch brewing giant acquired Diageo's 57.9% shareholding in the company. The brewery's portfolio centres on a handful of iconic brands that have defined Jamaican beer culture for generations. Its flagship lager, Red Stripe, is brewed and bottled at the Kingston facility and is one of the most internationally recognised beers from the Caribbean.
