Bryggeriet Vestfyen is a proud and independent brewery with roots going back to 1885, when it was founded in Assens on the island of Funen, Denmark. With a history spanning more than 130 years, the brewery has established itself as one of Denmark's enduring regional brewing institutions. In 2021, Finnish brewing group Olvi acquired a majority stake in the brewery, marking a new chapter while preserving its long-standing heritage. At the time of the acquisition, Bryggeriet Vestfyen employed around 100 to 115 people and recorded a sales volume of 65.2 million litres with net sales of 24.6 million euros, underlining its significant scale as Denmark's fourth-largest brewery. The brewery's portfolio spans a variety of products under its own brands, including Vestfyen and Willemoes, as well as private label production. In addition to beer, Bryggeriet Vestfyen also produces soft drinks and water, making it a versatile beverage producer firmly rooted in the Danish market. The brewery's broad range reflects both its regional character and its capacity to serve a wide consumer base across Denmark.
