Thissen's Brouwerij in Lith crafted this Quadrupel Barrel Aged through more than two years of maturation in wooden casks. The result is a robust, layered quadrupel where roasted malt depth meets the warmth and character imparted by extended barrel aging. The nose reveals dark chocolate, toffee and subtle oak. The palate unfolds dried fruit, vanilla and a warming spirit-forward depth that gives the beer a wine-like quality. The finish is long and dry, with measured bitterness that supports the full body and lingering warmth.
