This ochre-red, unfiltered beer at 10.5% ABV draws inspiration from a historical recipe based on a 1495 Utrecht ordinance. The result is a full, layered drinking experience: sweet, hoppy, and with a subtle tartness. The brewery, established in 2015, is dedicated to craft brewing rooted in local tradition. Dikke Dreun was released in 2022 as a jubilee edition celebrating five years of Stadsbrouwerij De Dikke. This is an authentic Kuytbier—a beer that belongs to Utrecht's brewing heritage.
