Guinness West Indies Porter is a revival of an original 1801 recipe, created by Arthur Guinness II for export to the Caribbean islands. The elevated alcohol content and extra hops served as natural preservatives during the long sea voyage. This porter marries roasted malt with subtle toffee and coffee character.
